OBSCURE SHOW BIZ PROFILE: CHANG AND ENG PACHYDERM

Siamese twins Chang and Eng Pachyderm were a songwriting team who worked out of New York's famed Brill building in the early days of rock and roll.

They achieved only one hit during their career, "You Can't Sit Down," by The Dovells, which went to number 3 on the Billboard Chart in 1963. Obviously, they liked to write from experience.

Their attempt at a follow-up hit, the racy "Trunk Full Of Love," was recorded by Bobby Vinton in an attempt to break away from his squeaky clean image, but it only got Vinton banned from American Bandstand by Dick Clark.

Despondent, the brothers broke up in 1964.

Literally.
