Put a bucket under the drain pipe that normally goes into the drip pan, and splash the hot water onto the ice. A LOT faster. ;)
Sounds like a good system, but this fridge has no drip pan. Fortunately, I was able to dislodge the whole mountain of ice in one piece. (Photographic proof in tomorrow's blog post.)
Thawing out last year's leftovers for use today?

My Revere ware was actually forged by Paul Revere.
