In the first cartoon, Fido is happy. In the second cartoon, he is not. It's all about context, Fido. And the reasonable expectations of a simpleminded animal who does a lot of traveling on business.

I like how you subtly captured Fido's emotional shift, through the use of slight, Monda Lisa type smile, and tail-wagging motion lines on the top picture, versus the more static second. This be the stuff of art.
